Adriana Lima Buys Farmhouse-Style Brentwood Home for $12 Million

Earlier this year, supermodel Adriana Lima sold her home on Miami’s Indian Creek Island for $40 million, banking $31 million on the sale as she and her now ex-husband purchased the property for $9 million back in 2009. According to Dirt.com, it seems as if the runway veteran has replaced the gap in her real estate portfolio with a $12 million west coast purchase located in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood.

According to Redfin.com, the1937-built home was sold about a year ago for $3.7 million. Now, still sitting on a third acre of land, the home’s footprint has been expanded from 2,230 square feet to 7,500 square feet, and has been completely updated to a “transitional farmhouse” style with six bedrooms and six-and a-half- bathrooms.

True to the transitional style, the home’s interior and exteriors stick to a neutral palette and balance traditional elements with modern ones. As seen in a video posted by listing agent Ari Wintraub, the home is entered first through a small farmhouse gate and then through the front door, which opens to a spacious foyer with high ceilings and wooden floors that lead directly to a living area and straight to the backyard. Public living spaces feature large windows and sliding glass doors which expose the outdoors to the interiors. White walls made of Calacatta marble blend with light blonde oak wood used on flooring, paneling, and shelving, which help carry the neutral palette throughout the home.

Each room features exquisite contemporary custom light fixtures, especially in the dining area and the primary kitchen. The modern manse boasts not one, but two kitchens, with a smaller, hidden, pared down one meant for heavy-duty cooking, while a larger one—complete with two marble-topped islands, stainless steel PITT and Miele cooking systems, and modern farmhouse faucets—is meant for gathering.

This house was definitely made for entertaining. On the upper floor, both the primary bedroom and the top landing lead to an uncommonly generous amount of outdoor space; and a forty-five-foot pool has been added to the backyard, along with a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest house. Other luxury features include five ensuite bedrooms, an enormous walk-in closet with an island for the main bedroom, a temperature controlled wine wall, and a home theater.
