Imagine yourself at the heart of a project team, shaping the future of luxury Retail in China. You’ll work on large-scale projects (150,000 – 800,000 sqm) from Concept Design to Completion, focusing on Interior Architecture and base build. As a key team member, you’ll blend design prowess, technical expertise, and efficiency to create architecturally innovative and technically sound projects.

Requirements That Set You Apart:

• A strong grasp and effective application of project team roles and duties, along with adept project management capabilities.
• Proficient in overseeing team punctuality, optimising work processes, and efficient management.
• Extensive knowledge in essential fabrication, construction, manufacturing, and on-site construction processes.
• Demonstrating exceptional ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Continual growth in project management proficiency.
• Progressive development of competencies in contract administration, resource allocation, and financial planning.
• Evolving negotiation skills with clients and heightened commercial acumen.
• Possessing the unique talent of “design vision.”
• Fluent in Mandarin.

Your Exceptional Skills & Experience:

• Lead and inspire creative excellence within the team.
• Supervise project production and guide its execution.
• Mentor and support junior staff while fostering a positive team dynamic.
• Demonstrate design execution when requested by junior team members.
• Contribute fresh and innovative design ideas to enhance the overall project strategy.
• Assist in organizing design tasks and optimizing workflow.
• Coordinate internal and external design workshops and task allocation.
• Cultivate relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client and external design inquiries.
• Report significant issues to senior management.
• Offer technical expertise to address client concerns.
• Foster a positive studio culture and support studio-wide initiatives.
• Take ownership of the team’s work quality when facing the client.
• Ensure coordination with the technical director for ongoing drawing matters.
• Promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing among teams, with regular updates to the Founders.
• Compile and review itemized design stage deliverables.
• Determine design specifications.
• Execute projects based on provided briefs and schedules.
• Ensure team meets time, cost, and quality targets.
• Support team recruitment and development.
• Collaborate with the Associate Director on client briefs.
• Participate in resource meetings and assist with resource management.
• Coordinate internal and external design workshops and reviews.
• Create and distribute meeting agendas and minutes.
• Maintain project meeting notes.
• Foster team morale and address team issues with the Associate Director.
• Support client administration and communication in collaboration with the Associate Director.
• Monitor design quality and adherence to senior management’s directions and Sybarite’s standards.
• Coordinate project design aspects with external consultants and contractors.
• Review team’s design work, address technical issues, and provide feedback for improvement.
• Submit timesheets and expenses promptly.
