The University of Westminster has a long and distinctive history. The University now seeks a Head for its School of Finance and Accounting. The School has an exceptional team of nearly 50 faculty and 15 visiting practitioners, and serves c.1400 students.  The School has a focused range of applied, professionally-accredited and market-leading undergraduate and Masters’ programmes, and enjoys close relationships with employers and all the major professional bodies.

A key member of the WBS Executive Group, the postholder will bring strong leadership to this diverse and dynamic School as well as contribute to the management and strategic development of WBS and the University more broadly. An inspiring leader, the new Head of School will drive excellence in the student experience, achieve outstanding graduate outcomes, continue the innovation in, and expansion of, market leading programmes, and deliver enhanced income and impact from research and knowledge exchange activity. A skilled communicator, with exceptional people and management skills, they will bring a track record in successful resource planning and implementation. Critically, they will evidence a passion for the School’s disciplines and align with the values and mission of the institution.

The University now seeks a Head for its School of Applied Management. The School has an exceptional team of c.50 faculty and 20 visiting practitioners, and serves c.1600 students. The School has a strong portfolio of applied, market-leading and professionally-accredited undergraduate and postgraduate courses in project management, real estate, quantity surveying, construction management and digital business. The School has been the pioneer of Degree Apprenticeships for the University, with currently c.300 learners and an ambitious programme for apprenticeship expansion.

A key member of the WBS Executive Group, the postholder will be required to bring strong and visionary leadership to this diverse and dynamic School as well as contribute to the management and strategic development of WBS and the University more broadly, to realise the University’s strategic objectives. A reputable and inspiring leader, the new Head of School will be focused on leading change by championing a strong and bold vision. They will be required to drive quality in teaching and learning, continue the expansion of market leading programmes, and deliver enhanced income and impact from research and knowledge exchange activity. A skilled communicator, with exceptional people and management skills, they will bring a track record in successful resource planning and implementation. Critically, they will evidence a passion for the School and align with the values and mission of the institution.
