ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a candidate with a passion for whole-life carbon design and an advocate of agendas set by the RIBA climate challenge and LETI low carbon transition principles. The ideal candidate is a creative, out-of-the box thinker, combining excellent technical skills and a holistic approach to architecture. 

This is a great opportunity to apply architecture, engineering and design expertise to  real commercial projects with larger construction clients across the UK.  You will be delivering an ambitious innovation project and become a key part of the future zero carbon vision of Space Architects (Europe), a leading Architecture firm in the North East of England, working with them at their base in Newcastle upon Tyne .

You will lead a transformation project– a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) – in low carbon which includes developing a new digital tool for total  carbon assessment of embodied carbon and operational carbon.   You will be, applying research to architecture projects that you will help deliver, embedding this work into Space’s architectural computer models/drawings and specifications. Based at Space, you will also  work with an academic team from Northumbria University.
