As a result of continued investment in our new Sustainable Engineering and Technology provision, we are looking to appoint a number of senior academic staff across a broad range of Built Environment disciplines.
We are looking for an outstanding, innovative and experienced Professor / Associate Professor in Architecture to lead the ongoing development and delivery of our new technical (BSc) Architecture programme, part of a suite of interdisciplinary built environment programmes at Roehampton.
ARE YOU:
- An academic with a bold vison to deliver inspirational leadership across a range of built environment disciplines?
- Passionate about teaching and learning and the continued success and development of our expanding portfolio?
- Enthusiastic about student-centred pedagogy and project-based learning?
- An academic with significant experience in the leadership of innovative curriculum design and development, pedagogy and high-quality teaching and learning practice?
- An expert in any number of relevant Built Environment discipline subjects relevant to architecture and the built environment including design studio, building technology, sustainability, environmental design, digital design / engineering and fabrication, history and theory, and architectural practice, among others?
- An academic with a substantial record of impactful research of world-class or internationally excellent quality OR a substantial record of professional practice / knowledge exchange activities?
- An academic with a substantial and evidenced record of income generation?
- A member of a relevant professional body
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Lead the development of innovative interdisciplinary programmes, providing a real-life educational experience for students, and producing graduates who are industry-ready
- Lead the management and coordination of professional validation, accreditation, and prescription of our programmes
- Manage, coordinate and deliver innovative teaching and learning for our students
- Take a leading role in education delivery, including programme / discipline area leadership
- Take a leading role in Research and Knowledge Exchange, meeting KPI for RKE excellence
- Manage industry / public sector / third sector and professional networks
- Be part of a collegiate community of academics and professional practitioners
