Hours/weeks: 37 hours / 52 weeks per year (teaching hours to be confirmed at interview)

In the role of Trainer Assessor, you’ll predominantly be based at Brunel House and in this varied role you will provide training, support and guidance to learners who are working towards completing their apprenticeships.

Your responsibilities will include assessing apprentices’ progress to knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) and setting work-based smart targets as well as supporting them to prepare for End Point Assessments (EPAs). You will spend time visiting the apprentices’ place of work, conducting work-based reviews and liaising with employers to maintain successful relationships between them and the College. You will also be responsible for reporting any safeguarding concerns relating to your caseload of learners that are raised both in and out of college.

Ideally, you’ll have a Level 3 qualification or higher in Brickwork or wet trades and demonstrable experience in the Construction industry and/or within an FE college. It’s important that you’re able to communicate effectively, engage with young people and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
