Carry On (2022)
Carry On is designed with a larger container that can carry a mini container, making it easier for users to remember its existence and reduce the likelihood of it being forgotten and wasted. This small design change encourages sustainable living and contributes to reducing unnecessary waste.
Background
These mini-sized toiletries are often forgotten and after a long time, it is thrown away with some remainings in it.
I believe that these kinds of meaningless wastes could be changed with some simple changes in design.
I thought that mini-sized ones’ low frequency of uses lead to forgetting their existence which then leads to meaningless wastes in the future.
While we use the normal sized shampoo daily, we don’t have occasions to use the mini sized ones quite often.
This low frequency of uses lead to forgetting their existences.
Concept
The main concept is combining mini container with the normal container that we use daily. Through this small change, I aim to make mini ones more recognizable and eventually reduce meaningless wastes of the mini ones. Users can carry on their sustainable journey by reducing the wastes.

Carry On is designed with a larger container that can hold a mini container, making it easier for users to remember its existence and reduce the likelihood of it being forgotten and wasted. This small design change encourages sustainable living and contributes to reducing unnecessary waste.
Mini container
Mini container can be disassembled easily when the user needs it.
After the use is done, user can assemble it back to it’s own place.
When mini is in use
Users can easily recognize when the mini container’s place is empty, and they will naturally put it back into its designated spot once they are finished using it. Additionally, the empty space can also serve as a handle,
allowing users to grip the container more easily.
Stable assembly
The round surface and small pit allow the mini container to be assembled stably.

At the other side of the product, there is a label with basic description information
based on European cosmetics labeling standards.
Carry On Series
The Carry On series includes shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The shampoo and conditioner have a similar blue color, while the body wash has a distinct color to prevent users from confusing it with other products.
Packaging
The package design of Carry On series features colors that indicate the type of product (shampoo, conditioner, or body wash). This helps users easily distinguish between the products and select the one they need without confusion.
