Even with more than twenty years as a furniture and design brand, Design House Stockholm had never targeted arcitects, interior designers and the contract market. In 2016 the company made a strategic decision to reposition the brand towards a younger, more professional design audience.
Design House Stockholm was founded in 1992 with the ambition to be a “Publishing House for Scandinavian Design”. Without the limitations of own facilities or employed product designers the company was free to publish any idea within the field of design. This was the core of the brand, a company that focuses on the inside of a product more than the fashionable side. To highlight this we wanted to create a combination of calm and spacious photography, focusing on the idea and functionality of the products, and well-written editorial content introducing the designers and their work.

The design of the catalogue was directly linked to the concept of the 2016 fair stands at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair (where the collection was presented) and Maison & Objet in Paris, making it a strong overall identity for the launch of the collection.
