The “Embrace” sideboard is all about unique joints, soft curves and overlapping layers. Its most distinctive element lies on the curved plywood band which hugs the overall unit, hence the name. The starting point for the product was the leg joint, specifically how the curved shapes could blend together but offer an interesting and appealing contrast at the same time. From there the goal was to have a minimal approach on design language balanced with functionality through clever solutions for storage and cable management. You’ll find two side drawers with vertical opening, a conventional drawer in the middle and an open shelf at the bottom. The upper cabinet creates an offset in comparison to the curved panel and this adds the possibility to pass cables through this gap easily. The “Embrace” sideboard can either work as a media unit or as an entrance piece.
