“Moscow — engineer vision” («Москва глазами инженера») is an educational project which involves excursions, master classes and lectures. The project’s theme is Moscow and its local history from the point of view of engineering, architecture and urban planning.
The project idea is contained in the name of the organization, hinting at a special outlook and is reminiscent of the book footnote “Moscow — engineer vision” .
The project encourages participants to set themselves in non-standard activity aimed at stimulating creative approach to complex “tasks with the asterisks”.
An engineer may envisage engineering almost everywhere: from a typographic asterisk — a gear, — to certain parts of environment around. A gear is an adaptive symbol. It is not tied to an era/time/place, but associated with learning mechanics, progress and intellectual activity. Asterisk-gear complements urban plots so as the excursion “complements” our reality — it offers an invitation to look at the city differently.
Canvas bags obtain a characteristic design — they have a tailored fold-pocket, which, among other things, gives a plot a “planning” and separates the archive photo from the everyday context.
Part of the logo is placed on the tag, so you can collect the project logo and avoid intrusive sign placement.
Souvenir enamel badges of two sizes are attached to a collet and have an original packaging postcard attached. On the front side of the postcard there are photographs from the life of the city and an icon that playfully complements the plot. On the reverse side there is a signature for a plot of photo and a text continuation of the brand name.
The event poster can be scrolled horizontally, imitating the movement of the gaze of a person who inspects the panorama of the city and seeks to find out the answers to questions that make up the tour description.
For those who want to explore the city online, the mobile guide was created. It allows to find out which famous architectural sights are nearby, to get acquainted with them via brief descriptions and informed comments by tour guides, and to view archival photographs and building plans. Moreover, users can mark visited objects or those that are to be visited in future.

The project is actively promoted in social networks, and its design informs a visual and conceptual continuation of the corporate identity behind its representation online.
