SUMMARY:Art Collaboration Kyoto 2026
DESCRIPTION:Art Collaboration Kyoto (ACK) 2026 will take place from November 7 to November 9\, 2026\, at the Kyoto International Conference Center in Kyoto\, Japan\, with an invitation-only preview on November 6. The event brings together leading Japanese and international galleries\, artists\, collectors\, curators\, and art professionals in a distinctive platform that encourages collaboration and cultural exchange. The 2026 edition will feature 63 galleries from 18 countries and regions\, with the main Gallery Collaborations section pairing Japan-based host galleries with international guest galleries in shared exhibition booths. This collaborative format creates opportunities for dialogue between different artistic perspectives and connects Japan’s contemporary art scene with the international art community. The programme also includes Kyoto Meetings\, presenting 11 artist projects connected to Kyoto’s traditions and culture\, as well as ACK Intersections\, a specially curated exhibition by Leonhard Bartolomeus extending across the indoor and outdoor spaces of the conference center. Beyond the main venue\, ACK 2026 will offer a range of off-site exhibitions and public programmes throughout Kyoto\, including a solo presentation by Andrew Cranston at Ryosokuin Temple. Through its combination of gallery collaborations\, artist presentations\, curated exhibitions\, and city-wide programmes\, Art Collaboration Kyoto provides an engaging platform for discovering contemporary art while exploring Kyoto’s rich cultural heritage.
