SUMMARY:Lofoten International Art Festival (LIAF) 2027
DESCRIPTION:Lofoten International Art Festival (LIAF) 2027 will take place from May 28 to June 27\, 2027\, across the spectacular Lofoten archipelago in northern Norway. Curated by Filipa Ramos\, the festival will explore the role of sound and attentive listening in understanding the relationships between humans\, animals\, and the natural environment.   Bringing together artists\, diverse communities\, places\, and histories\, LIAF 2027 will present contemporary artistic practices that encourage audiences to listen differently and reconsider their connections with the more-than-human world. Set against Lofoten’s dramatic Arctic landscapes\, the festival will create a unique dialogue between art\, nature\, ecology\, and local contexts.   Organized by the North Norwegian Art Centre (NNKS) and the LIAF Steering Committee\, the festival will transform different locations across the archipelago into spaces for artistic encounters\, reflection\, and exploration.
