It is a hybrid product that contains a storage device and a USB hub essential for designers in all fields in one product.

모든 분야의 디자이너에게 필수로 필요한 저장 장치와 USB 허브를 한 제품에 담은 하이브리드 제품입니다.

Background

Designers in all fields are using one or more external hard drives or USB. However, while the general external hard drive we currently use only has the function of storing something, it is heavy to carry because it has a built-in HDD-type storage device inside the external hard drive. It also occupies one USB port when used on computers and laptops, making it difficult to use if you don't have enough USB ports. Also, in the case of USB hub products, since the power line is integrated, the power line is short and the space is not convenient to use.

모든 분야의 디자이너 대부분은 외장 하드나 저장 장치 하나 이상을 사용하고 있습니다. 하지만 우리가 현재 사용하는 일반적인 외장하드는 HDD 방식의 저장 장치가 외장하드 내부에 들어가 있어 들고 다니기에 무게가 나가는 편에 비해 무언가를 저장한다는 단 한 가지의 기능만 탑재 되어있으며,

사용 시 노트북과 데스크탑의 USB 포트 하나를 차지해 USB 포트가 부족할 때에 이용에 어려움이 있습니다. 또한 많은 USB 허브 제품의 경우 전원

선이 일체형으로 되어 있어 선이 짧고 공간을 편리하게 쓰지 못한다는 문제점이 있습니다.

Project goal

We tried to solve the inconvenience of having only one function compared to the size and weight of the existing external hard drive. In addition, since it is made of a material that can observe the design inside the product, it is designed with an opaque material so that students studying product design can understand the design of the product even a little.

USB Ports

“다양한 포트로 다양한 저장 장치를 이용”

A USB hub also has three commonly used B-type ports, one USB-C-type port, and a port for inserting an SSD, so it is a hub that can use a variety of media.

USB 허브 또한 일반적으로 많이 사용되는 USB-B 타입 포트 3개와 USB-C형 포트 1개, SSD 카드를 삽일 할 수 있는 포트가 있어 다양한 저장장치 매개체를 사용할 수 있는 허브입니다.

“차갑고 밋밋해 보일 수 있는 제품에 포인트로 생기를”

There was a problem that the white color and simple design could give a cold feeling, so I added an orange to the logo and silver material to the border to add vitality to the product.

화이트 컬러와 심플한 디자인이 차가운 느낌을 줄 수 있다는 문제점이 있을 수 있어, 로고에 주황색 컬러를 넣어 제품에 생기를 더하며, 제품 테두리에

실버 소재를 넣어 제품에 포인트를 주었습니다.

Mounting Method

“M.2 설치 방식과 다른 손쉬운 방법 “

The existing M.2 memory card installation method uses a screwdriver and screws to install. If you lose the fixing screw, you may have to purchase it again. SAVE utilized the method of inserting floppy disks, which was used a lot in the past, in the product. Now you can conveniently install M.2 memory cards without any more screws and drivers.

기존 M.2 메모리 카드 설치 방식은 드라이버와 나사를 이용하여 설치합니다. 고정 나사를 분실한 경우 다시 구입해야 할 수 있습니다. SAVE는 과거에 많이 사용되었던 플로피 디스크를 제품에 삽입하는 방식을 활용했습니다. 이제 더 이상 나사와 드라이버 없이 M.2 메모리 카드를 편리하게 설치할 수 있습니다.

Existing USB hub products have a problem with limited length and space when connecting to a laptop because the product code is integrated. SAVE solved the problem by configuring the power cable as a separate type from the product.

기존에 나와있는 USB 허브 제품은 제품 코드가 통합되어 있어 노트북 연결 시 길이와 공간에 제약과 허브가 공중에 떠 있는 문제점이 있습니다.

SAVE는 전원 케이블을 제품과 분리형으로 구성하여 문제를 해결하였습니다.
