Pool Villa is a weekend retreat home, located in the outskirts of Visakhapatnam. The city located along the East coast line of India, has tropical wet and dry climate and is hot year Round. The idea of the villa is to have a little bit of sand, sun and water all for oneself away from the city and crowded beaches.

With the brief to keep it simple and maintenance free. The design comprises of a ground floor linear structure, with an open Verandah style living Area flanked by an open corridor along the pool side leading to the bedrooms.Palmyra, a native palm tree grows abundantly in this region. Its wood and leaves are used in local/ traditional village houses.

Borrowing the local element, the wooden screen becomes main design element. And highlighting the same by keeping muted colour palate.The essence is, to keep the Villa simple, grounded and connect with the local/ traditional architectural elements and for the inmates to connect with the nature..
