2023 Metaverse Architecture and Design Awards
The architecture and design industry is built on forward-looking ideas brought to life by innovative individuals. The emergence of Web3 and the metaverse provide new platforms and opportunities for the industry’s most curious to test the boundaries of design. We are so thrilled to share that our client digby has partnered with Interior Design’ to launch the Metaverse Architecture And Design Awards, the first Web3-driven design awards for A&D industry!
The MAD Awards will celebrate the people and projects that push the limits of curiosity and creativity outside the boundaries of the physical world and into the metaverse. With categories spanning from Designer of the Future, Unbuilt and Built projects, Metaverse Destination, Immersive Digital Art, and a Student category, the Awards encompass and showcase the design industry’s expansive depth and success in its foray into the world of Web3.
Submissions will be accepted through December 21, 2022, with the awards ceremony in March, 2023. As an industry first, the MAD Awards Ceremony will take place virtually within presenting sponsor Spatial.io’s community-driven metaverse platform.
As the interior design and architecture industry set the stage for a new era of innovation, The MAD Awards celebrates the designers and architects who are pushing the limits with emerging technologies and dreaming up projects, products, and spaces for Web3.

Open to the public/Minimum requirements (Open to anyone that complies with the requirements), Single stage (Winners selected immediately)
Domestic and international submissions are welcome for all categories.
Submissions are open to architecture, design, and manufacturing professionals, firms, and companies using 3D tools to explore, experiment, design, and build for Web3 or in a metaverse.
All participants must be 18 years or older. Participating students must be enrolled in an academic program including; private, public, online, or homeschool for secondary school (high school); undergraduate, graduate, or vocational education program.
Projects that have been previously awarded or published are not excluded from entry.
