We have a great opportunity based at our Corby campus for a Lecturer of Plumbing & Heating to become a key member of our Construction and Building Services department.
As a Lecturer of Plumbing & Heating, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:
- Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels.
Our ideal candidates will have either recent experience of working in UK Plumbing & Heating industry OR recent experience of teaching and assessing on a range of programmes and levels, and knowledge of the current developments in UK Building Services , alongside the following qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Plumbing & Heating (8202, 6035 or equivalent)
- Willingness to achieve Certificate in Education or equivalent
- GCSE Maths and English grade A-C or equivalent
- Willingness to achieve assessors award or similar assessing qualification
- Willingness to achieve IQA award or similar IQA qualification

Contract Type – Bedford College
- 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE) / 52 weeks per year
- Teachers working at the Sixth Form usually have an attendance requirement of 39 weeks. Details of this will be communicated ahead of each academic year.
