Architectures of Transition: Frameworks & Practices in South Asia

Architectures of Transition conference, which is being hosted by Harvard University’s Lakshmi Mittal South Asia Institute in partnership with the Architecture Foundation, intends to provide a platform for architects to consider the scope of work that has been done in the South Asia region as a whole. The conference aims to bridge the gap between academia and practice by bringing theorists/academics and practitioners into interaction with one another. In order to better answer the question, “What is the ‘architecture’ of practice, that is relevant and effective for the South Asia region, that continues to be characterized by acute transitions?” some fruitful insights on both ends of the spectrum are envisaged to result from this.
