Entertainer and four-time Emmy Award winner Randy Cohen returns to Van Alen Institute as presenter of Person Place Thing, a live interview program built around the notion that people are most compelling when they talk about issues that are important to them rather than about themselves. Attendees discuss one person, one location, and one item that they find meaningful. As a result, outstanding talkers shared unexpected anecdotes. Michael Kimmelman, Jan Gehl, Alicia Glen, Justin Davidson, Majora Carter, and Sreoshy Banerjea have all visited Van Alen in the past.
Kia Weatherspoon, founder of Determined by Design and board member of Van Alen, is the featured guest for December.
