New York-based studio BoND has designed a “feminine, organic” interior for Brazilian brand PatBo store in Miami Design District, featuring a dramatic sweeping staircase.
Aesthetic Design Mirroring Manhattan Headquarters
This two-level retail space mirrors the aesthetic of PatBo Store Manhattan headquarters, also designed by BoND. The Miami flagship blends white and pale pink tones with rich woods and brass accents to create a soft, feminine atmosphere.
Entryway and Ground Floor Design Features
Entering the store, customers are greeted by tall ceilings, terrazzo flooring, geometric wooden display plinths, and brass rails. A ribbon-like marble staircase, the store’s focal point, ascends through a gap in the upper floor plate and is surrounded by oversized silk flowers by Hana Form.
Coral-Colored Changing Area
The ground floor also features a coral-colored changing area with terracotta tiles, accessible through an arched opening beside the register.
Intimate Atmosphere Upstairs
Upstairs, the space transitions to darker woods, caramel-colored carpet, and wood-lined fitting rooms with curved corners and warm lighting, providing a more intimate atmosphere.
Unique Furniture and Facade Design
Furniture pieces such as Frank Gehry’s Wiggle chair, a green marble coffee table, and a curved grey sofa form a seating area, while the facade, wrapped in pale pink wooden slats, helps the store stand out in the Miami Design District.
BoND’s Broader Design Portfolio
BoND, founded by Noam Dvir and Daniel Rauchwerger, has also designed a bold yellow interior for a men’s apparel store in New York and renovated a mid-century Sears Catalog kit house in Fire Island Pines.
