Sharjah Architecture Triennial 2023

Titled “The Beauty of Impermanence: An Architecture of Adaptability,” the 2023 edition of the Sharjah Architecture Triennial is the inaugural major forum for architecture and urbanism in the Middle East, North and East Africa, and Asia and will be curated by Tosin Oshinowo.
This triennial is focused on examining the forward thinking design solutions that are arising from restricted access to resources seen in many parts of the Global South. In addition, it will investigate the ability of architecture to adapt and rebound from the consequences of climate change and other difficulties.
The upcoming triennial will host a wide range of artworks, exhibits, and collaborative sessions by prominent architects, designers, and artists from different regions. Notable attractions of the triennial are:
- An exhibition of artworks created by budding designers who are implementing imaginative design concepts to address obstacles in the Global South.
- A workshop on techniques for creating adaptable and strong designs.
- A lecture from a renowned expert on the potential of architecture in the Global South.
