Netflix Is Giving Design Lovers Plenty to Binge This Summer

Let’s just say that Netflix definitely knows what sells. Which is why the Netflix shows coming out later this summer and into the fall will lean heavily into the home design and real estate realms. According to a release, the streaming service will be bringing back fan-favorite series like Dream Home Makeover starring Shea and Syd McGee (season 3 drops July 27) as well as a whole host of new shows.

One of those new programs will be Selling The OC, which stars the members of The Oppenheim Group’s second office in Orange County, and will premiere August 24. This should give fans their zinger-filled real estate fix while they wait for the return of Selling Sunset, which was greenlit for two more seasons that will start production this summer.

Also hitting the streaming service will be Instant Dream Home (August 10), series wherein a team of home renovation experts surprises a family with a complete home makeover; Designing Miami (September 21), which pits a husband-and-wife team with different aesthetic styles against each other for some friendly competition; Buying Beverly Hills (coming in the fall), which follows the agents and clients within Mauricio Umansky’s The Agency; and Buy My House (also coming out in the fall), which gives homeowners across America the chance to pitch their properties to four real estate tycoons. Perhaps the most titillating title, however, is How to Build a Sex Room, a different kind of home renovation series that takes into consideration a couple’s most intimate desires and needs.
