Design Features

The special project, for the 5th edition of the Bienvenue Art Fair, was created for the 5th edition that took place from October 20-23.

At the Hotel La Louisiane in Saint-Germain-des-Prés from the Bienvenue Art Fair.

It showcased a selection of curated projects, each occupying a legendary room within the iconic hotel.

The project was called Room Thirty-Six.

Room Thirty-Six will remain in its place, the famous property, even though the Bienvenue Art Fair has ended.

Guests and visitors from all over the world will have the opportunity to book a stay in the futuristic design space.

With Room Thirty-Six, artist Harry Nuriev may take visitors on a colorful

Things created in the metaverse

The artist also revitalizes the hotels largest of the three oval rooms – favored by artists, writers, musicians and actors since the 1930s.

By revamping her modest décor with “splashes of bright color, sculptural pieces of furniture, and a circular bed frame reminiscent of a loved hotel.”

As visitors experience the redesigned room in real life (IRL), they are invited to explore the different worlds of the rooms and installation,

via a comprehensive virtual hotel-wide view of La Louisiane in the metaverse.

A virtual iteration of the property was also artistically designed by Nuriev,

and provides a vast re-imagination of the hotel’s lobby and gardens as well as a series of bedrooms.

And in legendary places like the Hotel La Louisiane, it’s as if the past is with you.

The walls may hold so much history that it seems as if the previous room guests kept watching over you.

In addition to physical installation and metaverse experience,

Nuriev has also developed a limited set of NFTs that provide opportunity for buyers.

About what it might look like to watch guests staying in the halls of a Meta hotel through a CCTV camera.

Each view depicts a different view of the virtual environment – the waiting area,

the patio and the elevator – with only 33 copies available of each theme.

After the NFT owner purchases any of the NFT tapes for one week, the owners will receive an NFT room key.

This gives them access to an explorable version of Room Thirty-Six within the metaverse.

Design shape

In room 36, the lack of strong angles gives the impression of a forgotten room, left behind at the end of the third floor corridor.

In this way, the space lends itself to all original builds and layouts.

Historically, room 36 is one of La Louisiane’s most legendary rooms –

Barbet Schroeder filmed scenes from his movie more in the space, and Amanda Lear stayed briefly there.

It has built an illustrious legacy over the years, giving rise to individuals like Quentin Tarantino etc.

And many other people constantly ask for this room and not another room when visiting.
