2023 NY Product Design Awards: Season 2 is now open for entries!

2023 NY Product Design Awards: Season 2: The 2023 NY Product Design Awards, recently organized by International Awards Associate Inc (IAA), for entries in its second season, was launched to honor the efforts of talented product designers, design teams, and manufacturers from all over the world, whose designs have made daily living that much better with their practical and ingenious creations.

About Competition

The NY Product Design Awards was launched to honor the efforts of talented product designers, design teams, and manufacturers from all over the world, whose designs have made daily living that much better with their practical and ingenious creations.

Moreover, Recognizing that excellence exists in various forms in the design industry, the NY Product Design Awards intends to celebrate excellence in all its facets that are found in design work and its designers.

A well-thought-out design is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, and all-in-all improves one’s daily life. Said designs can stem from different people’s projects, commercial engagements, or research.

Also, The jury is composed of highly respected and experienced professionals who have distinguished themselves in their field.

Submission requirements

➜ Entries must be within the last 5 calendar years up through the final deadline.
➜ All entries must be for judging exactly as published or implemented and may not be modified for the competition.

Image Submission:

The submissions should be in a flattened JPEG or JPG format (keep them under 4MB, 1,200px wide is preferable, 300dpi, RGB).
Audio/Video File:
➜ Entries with audio/video can be uploaded to Vimeo/YouTube/Youku and must be submitted with a direct URL that will take judges directly to the work. If it is password-protected, you must provide a username and password for judging purposes. Web Videos entered are judged solely on the content provided. Upload a PDF brief if the explanation before the valuation of the work.

Evaluation Criteria

Form: Design’s inherent visual and artistic quality
Creativity & Innovation: General evaluation of design idea, and its employment of creative or innovative concepts
Finishing & Functionality: Product quality, useability, safety features, ease of maintenance
Impact: Benefits, or lack thereof, the design brings to users and their environment

Eligibility

The NY Product Design Awards is open to product designers of various backgrounds Whether by a professional designer, a fledgling designer, or even a hobbyist, they are eligible for entry. This includes designs purposed for any function, commercial or otherwise.

Prize

The Product Design / Designer of the Year winners receive a complimentary limited-edition trophy and professionally designed certificate.
One professionally designed certificate commemorating the winning entry, which includes entry title, entering company/winners’ name, and category.
Top tier (Gold and Silver) winners will be on the Product Design Awards site’s Gallery, where professionals can view your work.
A press release template sent to major industry outlets, celebrating your win.
Professionally designed logos for use on websites, in email signatures, etc.
In addition to the complimentary certificates, Gold and Silver winners may purchase beautiful NY Product Design Awards statuettes, and/or additional customized certificates.
Lastly, Gold and Silver winners will be NY Product Design Awards on social media or our media partner on Muse. World’s website.

Entry fees

Standard Entry is $169/$199 for the first entry of work. If a work is in more than one category, an additional entry fee for each category. Therefore, Each entrant is a $30 annual administrative fee.
