Due to internal promotion, we have a new opportunity for an Associate Professor in our award-winning Energy House Labs Research and Innovation Group.

We are looking to recruit an academic with significant presence and expertise in the areas of Building Physics and Building Performance Measurement, with the potential to be a world leader in this area.

Our Energy House Labs are unique, and this is a critical role for the group, so we’re looking for an ambitious academic with a view to grow further into a leadership role within the team.

We are a team-focused group, and we’re looking for a leader who can oversee colleague development and contribute to the wider development of strategy supporting the group with growth, continued success, and the establishment of an international profile.

We’re looking for applicants with growing leadership aspirations. You’ll need to be a team player and engaging communicator to a wide range of audiences, with well-developed networks or networking skills you can bring to benefit of the group.

You’ll need a good track record of publications and research funding, demonstrating high-quality outputs and a commitment to impact.

Energy House Labs at the University of Salford has a growing international profile, and we are recruiting to grow.

The unit runs across 4 labs and external fieldwork, running a wide variety of large and small projects focused on net zero homes and building performance.

We are a well-integrated team and have a strongly supportive workplace culture with a delivery focus, which has led to rapid growth.
