A leading affordable housing provider is seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to join their Asset Management team in London and support remediation works on £400 million worth of housing stock. This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified professional to make a significant impact on building safety and compliance within the social housing sector.

Position Overview
As Technical Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of these properties nationwide by providing expert technical support and advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review technical information to support expert consultants. 
  • Provide comprehensive technical support and advice. 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant construction and procurement legislation. 
  • Support the Building Safety Management team with technical expertise. 
  • Conduct technical due diligence on new and existing projects.
  • Participate in project design reviews when appropriate.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competency of the new requirements of the Building Safety Act.   

Skills & Experience 

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or relevant discipline.
  • Chartered Member of RIBA, CIAT, or ARB with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Sound understanding of architectural and project technical requirements.
  • Knowledge of construction project methodology and local planning legislation.
  • Practical experience in project delivery across all RIBA Stages of Work.
  • Strong understanding of current Building Regulations and applicable legislation.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Excel, MS Office, and CAD software.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business purposes.
