Updates on engineering and architecture jobs available around the world
The Architects Registration Board (ARB) is the UK statutory regulator of architects, and is responsible for setting the standards of education, training and competence required to become a UK-registered architect. ARB’s examination process involves reviewing applications and portfolios from architects who have studied, trained or worked elsewhere to determine whether their qualifications are equivalent in standard to UK prescribed qualifications. The examination process ensures that applicants holding non-prescribed qualifications hold qualifications of an equivalent standard and will meet ARB’s registration requirements on completion of their training. The UK Adaptation Assessment plays a key role in ARB’s new international route to registration. Architects holding qualifications that are within scope of one of ARB’s mutual recognition agreements are required to undertake the UK Adaptation Assessment to ensure that they are competent to practise in a UK context before joining the Register.
ARB is seeking to appoint a pool of up to 10 Architect Examiner/Assessors.
If you are looking to make a difference then we want to hear from you. To be considered you must; be an experienced architectural educationalist, or of equivalent experience – in or closely associated with – Higher Education (HE) institutions and/or practising as an architect in the UK; experienced in carrying out criteria-based assessment or examining/reviewing students’ work in a structured context with an understanding of the duty to act impartially and objectively.
