‘As and when’ required, ongoing contract

£25.39 – £31.31 per hour (based on Vocational teaching)

£28.70 – £35.39 per hour for 3rd year degree teaching.

We are seeking a candidate for a position as supply lecturer in the Carpentry & Joinery team, to work alongside academic colleagues as part of the delivery of our Modern Apprenticeships and Full-Time provision, specifically in the subject area of Bench Joinery.  You will be based at the Inverness College main campus/Scottish school of forestry. 

This roles presents a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic person who enjoys teaching and learning to join an experienced and diverse team. You will be required to deliver curriculum in an innovative manner with a focus on best practice in the teaching of topics relevant to your role. You will be required to be an effective team member able to deliver a high quality curriculum and educational experience

The suitable candidate must have a good working knowledge of current building regulations (Insulation / Air Tightness). You should also be flexible, reflective, innovative, creative, and personally committed to continuing vocational and professional development.

You do not need to have a teaching qualification to apply as training will be provided, however some experience of instructing or teaching is welcome. You should possess effective interpersonal skills and have good IT skills in applications such as MS Office and other relevant subject related software packages.
