ABOUT THE ROLE
Working within the Department of Architecture and Built Environment, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will support the Principal Investigator in developing and delivering research proposals for external funding, and in writing and submitting academic publications. You will work alongside Professor Richard Laing, primarily concerning his research in people-centred urbanism, including the consideration of mobilities and public participation and collaboration.
The role is for a fixed term of 12 months.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 therefore the successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

The Research activity is being undertaken within the Department of Architecture and Built Environment. The Department has research strengths in areas including human-environment interactions, advanced construction technologies, digital construction, building information management, heritage futures, and practice-based research. Applicants should hold a PhD and have demonstrable specialist expert knowledge relevant to people-centred design of the built environment.
