Energy House Labs at the University of Salford has a growing international profile, and we are recruiting to grow. This role will involve working with our award-winning Energy House 2.0 research facility (www.energyhouse2.com)
Applications are invited from world-leading experts capable of acting in a leadership role in expanding the University’s internationally leading research activities in the broad area of Energy and Buildings.
We particularly encourage applications from candidates with expertise/interests around:
- Building physics
- Thermal comfort
- Renewable heating systems
- Retrofitting existing buildings
- Building performance evaluation
In addition to being an internationally renowned researcher, with a proven track-record of innovation and leadership, an excellent track record in academic publications and successful grant applications, the ideal candidate will maintain and consolidate existing activity, and establish new, interdisciplinary collaborations across the University. These collaborations will be with external academic and industrial partners and will help drive the impact agenda in the School.
Recent growth at the award-winning Energy House Labs research and innovation group has led to the creation of this new Professor role.
Energy House Labs incorporates 4 laboratory units and a fieldwork team, running a wide variety of large and small projects focused on net zero homes and building performance evaluation. We are a well-integrated team and have a strongly supportive workplace culture with a delivery focus.
The School of Science Engineering and Environment is focused on quality of life for society, industry collaboration, and is making significant investments in new facilities, including Energy House 2.0 www.energyhouse2.com
