An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Faculty of Construction to appoint a Programme Tutor to support our learners undertaking their full-time courses or Apprenticeships in Painting & Decorating.
You should be a motivated and experienced and qualified tutor/assessor who has a proven track record of providing learning and assessment in this sector.
The successful candidate will be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 Painting & Decorating and have assessor qualifications and knowledge of FE and Apprenticeship provision. Ideally you will hold assessor qualifications, or be committed to obtaining the suitable qualifications once in post.
You will have experience of supporting the development of up to date knowledge, skills and behaviours relating to the key priorities for the construction sector and have a good appreciation of employer skills needs.
Candidates should have a commitment to providing high quality learning to enable all learners to achieve their full potential. The ability to truly work as a team player is also essential. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
The Role:
The involves the delivery of teaching, learning and assessment within Painting & Decorating for full time learners and Apprentices.
We deliver a wide range of qualifications through various awarding bodies including City & Guilds at Level 1, 2 & 3
You will be tasked with the delivery of the above playing an integral role in improving the team’s high grades outcomes. In addition to this, you will also be tasked with providing pastoral care to a minimum of 2 cohorts of learners. Within these pastoral care responsibilities, you will be required to form strong working relationships with learners, parents and employers driving good attendance to all components of our study programmes, adult and apprenticeship provision in the pursuit of outstanding student outcomes.
In this role, you will:
Deliver innovative and stimulating teaching, learning and assessment to enable your students to achieve stretching learning.
Facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
Design and deliver a flexible and relevant range of provision including theory, practical and blended learning sessions.
