About Us:

Join the University of Oxford’s Engineering & Estates Maintenance Team, where you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our mechanical infrastructure. We value innovation, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.

Role Overview:

  • Be the University expert in mechanical services, setting and delivering the strategy and standards for safe, effective and efficient mechanical systems.
  • Deliver the programme for all mechanical asset replacement works, setting priorities with due regard for safety, efficiency and budget.
  • In support of mechanical projects, provide technical leadership to Project Managers, Consulting Engineers, Installation Contractors and University departments.
  • Lead and support colleagues in the mechanical operation teams to achieve our vision.

Selection Criteria:

  • Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered member of CIBSE, IMechE, or other relevant institution or working towards it.
  • Significant experience in all types of mechanical installations within various building types.
  • Strong project management and budgeting skills.
