We are looking for a passionate and committed team player to join our Building Surveying team as a Teaching Fellow in Construction Technology teaching on our professionally accredited and industrial relevant undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.  In this role you will have the opportunity to teach and lead modules, supervise student projects, and develop your career in a supportive, innovative, and inclusive environment.

School

The School of Science, Engineering and Environment (SEE) is a centre of discovery and innovation. With a broad portfolio across computer sciences, engineering, built environment and human and natural sciences, we are one of the largest schools within the University, home to over 6000 students and over 370 colleagues.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a degree in Building Surveying, Construction, architectural technology or a close equivalent
  • Has experience in construction technology or a closely related discipline as either a higher education educator or practitioner
  • Demonstrates knowledge of current developments and challenges in construction technology theory and practice
  • Is capable of motivating and supporting students from a variety of backgrounds with differing development needs
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
