About us:

Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners.  We currently have a turnover of over £50 million making us a major employer in the region with approximately 1,000 staff.

The role:

  • Part-time (24 hours per week)
  • Permanent
  • £14,082 – £14,627 per annum
  • Tycoch campus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce and prepare teaching materials, equipment and spaces required for lessons
  • Maintain equipment and tools and carry out regular safety checks and servicing requirements 
  • Work alongside teaching staff and learners to support the use of tools and machinery in sessions 

About you:

  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, or willingness to work towards one
  • Experience within the horticulture or construction industry
  • Experience of using/maintaining machines and tools

The successful candidate must go through First Responder training and undertake the duties. Upon completion of training, you will receive an additional £50 per month.

Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to a start date before 1st February).
