About the Role

RIBA Validation is a peer-review process that recognises quality and excellence in Schools of Architecture around the world. The process, which validates programmes over 230 architecture programmes in 26 countries, monitors the compliance of architectural programmes with our internationally recognised standards but also encourages excellence and diversity in student achievement.

Visiting boards visit schools of architecture to assess student work and student experience. These boards are composed of practising architects and academics.

The Validation Manager provides strategic direction and specialist guidance on the monitoring of academic standards in schools of architecture throughout the UK and internationally. The Validation Manager manages visiting boards with a high degree of autonomy and may be required to make judgements in complex and unpredictable circumstances.

The Validation Manager works with the RIBA validation panel, acting as an ambassador for RIBA when visiting schools, to enhance the reputation as world leaders in the field of quality and standards in architectural education.
