Architecture Competition: Art in Public Spaces
On behalf of the Ministry of Culture, it is our pleasure to share with you one of the recent and most ambitious initiatives of the Albanian government: “Edition I” of the International Competition “Art in Public Spaces” for the year 2022.
The International Competition “Art in Public Spaces” invites Albanian and foreign artists to share and compete through their projects for 18 different public locations within the territory of the Republic of Albania. This call aims the artistic and urban requalification of the chosen spaces in order to give value to local identity by supporting the independent artistic scene through the spirit of fine arts education. It is central to our mission to involve the younger generations by creating a synergy between the location, the community and artists.
We hope that this initiative will engage not only independent stage artists, but also architects, urban planners, constructive-electrical engineers, etc.
