The Arte Laguna Prize is the Venice-based International Contemporary Art Competition that welcomes and exhibits emerging artists and designers of all ages, countries, genders, and artistic backgrounds, and is free-themed. With two decades of experience, the competition offers numerous opportunities for participants to expand their contacts, gain global visibility, and access crucial resources for career development.

In the jury, as for each edition, prominent figures from the current art scene will select the 120 finalist artists who will compete for the €10,000 prize and who will exhibit their works in the iconic 3,000-square-meter area of the Arsenale Nord in Venice. Designers will have the opportunity to showcase their works, products, and projects of artistic influence and inspiration.

All participants have the additional opportunity to access Special Prizes created in collaboration with international partners:

  • Artistic residencies
  • Collaborations with companies
  • Collaborations with art galleries
  • Participation in art festivals and group exhibitions

Applications will remain open until July 31, 2025.


Overview

The Arte Laguna Prize is organized by the Cultural Association MoCA and aims to promote and enhance contemporary art. This year marks the 20th edition of the competition, with multiple prizes and a collective exhibition at the Arsenale Nord in Venice.

Submission Details

  • Required: Portfolio of works, profile registration on the Arte Laguna World portal, and entry fee payment.

  • Note: Artists can submit up to 5 works, and each additional work beyond the fifth costs €24.40.
