SkyTower Will Reach 351.85 Metres
Construction is well underway on the SkyTower, designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, set to become Canada’s tallest supertall skyscraper. Located in Toronto, the tower has already begun receiving cladding at its base as it moves steadily toward its final height of 351.85 metres (1,154 feet).
Once completed, SkyTower will feature 106 storeys, surpassing all existing towers in the country and securing its place in the supertall skyscraper category.
Outpacing Other Tall Canadian Towers
SkyTower will edge out current record holders like the 281-metre-tall First Canadian Place and the under-construction One Tower by Foster + Partners, which is expected to reach 306 metres (1,003 feet).
Part of the Pinnacle One Yonge Development
SkyTower is being developed by Pinnacle International and forms a key component of the Pinnacle One Yonge master plan. This large-scale development in Toronto’s Central Waterfront will include:
- Three residential towers
- Two office buildings
- Upgrades to the surrounding city block
SkyTower is part of Phase Two of the project.

71 Floors Completed So Far
As of now, construction has reached the 71st floor. The lower levels are already seeing progress with cladding, interior framing, and electrical wiring being installed.
The design team has aligned the height of SkyTower with the CN Tower’s observation deck, respecting the city’s request not to exceed it.
Vertical Fins and a Tapered Design
SkyTower recently received approval for a variance in March 2025, allowing the height to be extended from 95 to 106 storeys. Final topping-out is expected later in 2025.
Renderings show a glass-clad tower rising from a multi-level podium, with white vertical fins that stretch upward and expand toward the base, merging visually with the podium.

Designed to Withstand Wind Loads
“To make an architectural statement and to mitigate wind-induced loads, the tower features a sleek, glazed exterior and a tapered form with wind slots and chamfered corners,” said Hariri Pontarini Architects.
Le Meridien Hotel and 950 Residential Units
The podium will house a Le Meridien hotel, while the tower will include 950 residential units.
The first residential tower, The Prestige, was completed in 2022, reaching 65 storeys (216 metres / 708 feet), and is currently occupied, though construction on the third tower has not yet started.
