E Commerce Closure Design

Overview

The E Commerce Closure Design competition invites designers from around the world to create an innovative single-component cap for personal care, cosmetics, and food products, optimized specifically for e-commerce. The aim is to improve durability during shipping, reduce plastic usage, and enhance the user experience with intuitive, easy-to-open functionality.

Organized via Desall in collaboration with a leading (anonymous) sponsor, the competition seeks inventive designs that solve e-commerce packaging challenges and appeal to a broad consumer base. The competition is free to enter and offers cash prizes and licensing opportunities.

Submission Details

Participants must submit:

Up to 5 images (960×720px, RGB, JPG/GIF/PNG, max 1 MB each)
Descriptions and project details in English
Optional .zip archive (max 100 MB) with high-res images and 3D files

All designs must:

Be compatible with industrial injection molding
Focus on usability, aesthetics, sustainability, and low production cost
Follow standard cap dimensions (min. 24 mm neck)
