Within the framework of Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s project to develop historical mosques, Faydat Athqab Mosque in Hail region, which dates back more than 80 years, was rehabilitated.
This development comes as part of the second phase of the project, which includes 30 historical mosques in all regions of the Kingdom, with the aim of preserving the Islamic heritage and enhancing the religious and cultural role of these mosques.

Faydat Athqab Mosque was renovated using natural building materials and clay construction techniques, while preserving the heritage architectural style of the Hail region.
The development included improving the distribution of the mosque’s spaces, and developing its windows to enhance natural ventilation and retain cool air, making it compatible with the hot desert climate. Modern lighting elements were also installed that comply with sustainability standards.
