Super Paradise Beach Club by Omniview Design – Site: Mykonos, Greece

The firm was tasked with reimagining the island’s first beach club, which was built in 1971. By combining the best of old and new, they managed to maintain the laid-back retro vibe while incorporating modern technology for trendy takes on classic elements, like the computer-generated curves that distinguish everything from the bar with its wood ceiling to the wall niches that display locally made pottery and bottled libations.

Faraway Martha’s Vineyard by Workshop/APD – Site: Edgartown, Massachusetts

The mid-century modern redesign of this waterfront hotel features a new courtyard pool with lush plantings, an expanded lobby, and updated décor. The design team took inspiration from an island native who grew up in the 1960s and is now an avid gardener and mystic fluent in the healing powers of plants. She also hosts artsy bashes in her bohemian-botanical manse.

Albor San Miguel de Allende, Tapestry Collection by Hilton by Esrawe Studio; Productora – Site: San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

This recently constructed property’s simple architecture blends very well with the surroundings. The top floors, which are reserved for guest accommodations, are colored in softer, more tranquil hues, while the bottom floor, which houses the public areas, is colored in a way that is influenced by the purple tones of the surrounding mountains. Local flora also served as inspiration for the abstract designs that adorn artist Omar Barquet’s ceramics. Some of which feature sculptural components suspended from ceilings.

Faern Arosa Altein by Run for the Hills – Site: Arosa, Switzerland

The alpine health resort, located in a national park, was renovated by the London studio into a refined-rustic space that welcomes guests for après-ski socializing. The space features a rust-to-ochre color scheme, warm upholstery (think sheepskins and Swiss-cross wool blankets), and distinctive timber furniture. The camera-ready Wes Anderson-inspired reception desk and the Slim Aarons photos provide a surprising touch.

AutoCamp Zion by HKS; Narrative Design Studio – Site: Virgin, Utah

The outdoor lodging brand’s newest resort pays homage to its red-rock desert location by snuggling up to Zion National Park. Furthermore, Sleeping in custom Airstreams, huts, or tents, guests hobnob in the shared clubhouse, which has large windows for natural light, easy access and departure, and an earthy color scheme made of sustainable cork for the walls and furniture.
