Working across a varied curriculum in Carpentry & Joinery you will support a number of full time and part time students to achieve their full potential. There is a lot of potential to grow this area of the curriculum and you will play a vital role in ensuring the College is best placed to serve the needs of industry and our students.
You will have a genuine passion for supporting students to develop new skills and confidence in their own ability. You will need to hold a Level 3 Carpentry qualification to deliver on our full range of courses and ideally you will have had previous teaching experience or alternatively be able to demonstrate a number of years of trade based experience. Training can be provided to develop your teaching skills. You will also hold or be prepared to work towards and achieve a formal teaching qualification. You will have obtained a minimum of grade C or equivalent in GCSE English & Maths, and be able to demonstrate your commitment to ongoing CPD. You must also have a genuine commitment to high standards of work place safety and recognise the value of good health and safety practice. In addition, you may also hold an assessor qualification or be willing to works towards achieving it.
