The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction is one of the world’s leading academic centres of excellence in the management of projects and construction economics. It has around 600 students, and more than 80 members of staff from a broad base of built environment, management, and engineering disciplines. In the Research Excellence Framework 2021, the Bartlett was recognised as the faculty where the UK’s most ‘World Leading’ and ‘Internationally Excellent’ built environment research is undertaken.
The School seeks to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching), specialising in the area Management of the Built Environment. The post holder will prepare and deliver appropriate teaching material, including regular tutorials and seminars, as part of the delivery of the relevant module requirements; they will assist in curriculum development and be active members of the school’s teaching team.
The postholder will ideally be available for to start in post on 1 October 2022; this is a full time, open ended position.
The successful applicant will be expected to teach, supervise and support students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; to contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum; to contribute to examinations, marking and other forms of assessment; to participate in departmental and faculty events, and build collaborations across UCL; and, to engage in continuing professional development.
The appointee is required to have a higher degree in management and/or sustainable construction related disciplines, an established track record of high-level teaching, and appropriate knowledge of related fields with Professional practice experience.
