Located in a former industrial building in West Village, the center extends across both a ground floor and a deep basement. The design contrasts the solidity of concrete and steel in the gym area with the soft, curved forms and light materials of the spa. Indirect lighting and a sequence of arched transitions guide visitors through spaces that evoke an atmosphere of tranquility, where reflections and shadows glide gently across polished surfaces, creating a therapeutic and naturally peaceful setting.
Publisher’s Loft A Library Turned Living Space
In this residence, books take center stage as an architectural element rather than mere content. Shelving wraps around the walls at precise angles, forming a living boundary of light and shadow.
