a portable stool
Inspired by tribal mask and kathputli body movements ,Nomad is a light weight and portable stool having the sustainability and handcrafted expressions of bamboo.
This temporary sitting is specially designed for people who travel for their work and even to explore having the need to stop and take a fresh breathe of comfort .What makes Nomad apart is its form having the structural value aligned only in one axis ,giving user an experience to use his/her legs as pseudo structural members making this stool an epitome of ‘form follows function’.

BRIEF
The brief aimed towards designing a light weight portable and temporary sitting with a minimum height of 15 inches with an intension to give basic understanding of concepts including material functionality and aesthetics while giving us as students the exposure of hands-on experience in workshop.
