Architecture Competition: Open call for video submission – stories from unicorn archipreneurs
mOOO calls on architects live in every continent to submit successful and unsuccessful stories of their ventures in a video format, to fire up young architects to create their unique careers and realise the full potential of an architect’s skill set.
All design professions are welcome to submit their video stories. If you are passionate about design and you are the founder or co-founder of your company. Please replace architect or architecture with your design-related professions and submit your video stories.
Context:
mOOO assumes most young architects are fully occupied with office deadlines which are predominately driven by the speed of capital involved in real-world architecture. Under the never-sleep wheel of capitalism, a small group of architects practices work-life balance like a religion, but most architects only heard of the notion, and that’s it. Nevertheless, we charge ahead and deliver projects to clients with focus, passion, and most importantly — caffeine.
As we are so driven by excellence and motivated to climb the office ladders. Sooner or later, we will always achieve what we set out to accomplish. It will be an excellent career choice for a lot of architects but it’s a path being well travelled.
After a cognitive fast-forward, mOOO becomes curious to search for alternative career stories and then map new forms of practice so together we can build a new and global understanding of the true potential of possessing an architect’s skill set.

Categories:
Paper/Instagram architects:
You have successfully registered a company and you have been producing fantastic architecture proposals without clients. Nonetheless, the projects have consistently received acclaim from architecture media, etc. We want to know how did you get started.
Research agency:
You have successfully registered a company and you have been working on research projects which require you to use skill sets common to most architects like 3D modelling, mapping, and drawing but not limited to. We want to know how did you get started.
Unicorn archipreneurs – new forms of business:
You have successfully registered a company which is a new venture. We want to know how you take advantage of the skills you acquire as an architecture student and how did you get started. (*As an Archipreneur, you are in charge of building a business from your architectural skill set.)

mOOO’s mission is to promote young architects and we want to learn about your career stories! We want to build a platform for you to share and inspire our followers with your successes and failures, after all, we want to gain new perspectives on the architecture profession! Furthermore, you can treat this opportunity as an exercise to 1) brand your business, 2) attract young talents to join your course!
