Riyadh Metro .. A New Step Toward Development
The Riyadh Public Transport Authority announced the opening of two new stations on the Orange Line of the Riyadh Metro Project: the Railway Station and Jarir District Station.
This represents a new step toward developing the public transportation system and achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The Orange Line: A New Artery for Riyadh
The Orange Line (Line 5) of the Riyadh Metro network extends from Sheikh Hassan bin Hussein Road to Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib Road.
It is approximately 25.3 km long. The line passes through densely populated neighborhoods and commercial areas, making it a pivotal line serving thousands of people daily.
It is considered one of the most interactive lines, intersecting with the Red and Blue Lines, facilitating passenger movement between the outskirts and the city center.
The railway station and Jarir District: A strategic link that enhances integration
The opening of the railway station represents a qualitative shift, as it is located next to the main train station.
This allows passengers to easily transfer between the metro and regional trains, reinforcing the concept of “integrated transportation.”
The Jarir District station serves a vital residential neighborhood and is highly anticipated due to its proximity to numerous educational and commercial facilities, contributing to alleviating traffic congestion in the area.

Riyadh Metro: A Comprehensive Urban Transformation
The Riyadh Metro project is a component of the King Abdulaziz Public Transport Project and is the largest of its kind in the region.
The project includes six main lines, exceeding 176 km in length, and 85 stations strategically distributed to cover most areas of the capital.
The train is equipped with advanced technologies, including smart automated control systems, surveillance cameras, and passenger amenities, reflecting a world-class infrastructure.
Direct Support for Vision 2030
The project aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to transform Riyadh into one of the world’s best cities in terms of quality of life.
Public transportation is a key component of this vision, supporting sustainability, reducing emissions, and enhancing transportation efficiency.
The project also strengthens the local economy by creating job opportunities and stimulating sectors related to smart infrastructure and services.

Digital Transformation in Transportation
Integrating with the digital transformation vision, users can book their trips via the Darb app, which provides a smart and seamless mobile transportation experience, with the ability to track buses and pay fares electronically.
