The National Green Earth Challenge is an initiative organized by the Prem Jain Memorial Trust (PJMT) in partnership with Young Leaders for Active Citizenship. This competition celebrates the legacy of Dr. Prem Jain, who is recognized as the Father of the Green Building Movement in India. The challenge encourages students to create innovative, sustainable solutions through two primary components: the Architecture-Engineering (Arch-Eng) Challenge and the Design Challenge. These challenges are focused on environmentally conscious architecture, engineering, and product design.
Goals and Purpose
The challenge aims to inspire the next generation of architects, engineers, and designers to address critical environmental issues while promoting creativity, innovation, and sustainability. Participants, who are undergraduate students in architecture, engineering, and design programs across India, can enter individually or as teams of up to three members.
Prizes and Recognition
Exciting prizes worth 10 lakhs are up for grabs, with ₹1,50,000 awarded to the national winners in each category. This competition offers students an invaluable platform to showcase their ideas, gain national recognition, and contribute to building a more sustainable future.
