Upon completion in 2027, the project will cover an area of over 4.4 million square meters of green and open spaces. It will include more than 50 sports facilities, along with an extensive network of cycling paths (220 km), walking and running trails (135 km), and equestrian trails (approximately 100 km). Additionally, the project will provide investment opportunities for the private sector, covering an area exceeding 2.3 million square meters. The Sports Boulevard Riyadh is set to become a landmark.
Project Divisions: The developers divided the project into eight main zones, including:
- An ecological zone.
- An entertainment zone.
- A sand sports zone.
- An arts district, which will feature a theatre, performance spaces, art exhibition areas, and residential and commercial spaces.
Challenges:
The project faced several challenges, such as the impact on local communities during construction and the reorganisation of existing utilities like electricity towers and overhead cables.
