Sumatra®
Sumatra is the biggest island in Indonesia, the most beautiful and with the biggest local biodiversity. Globally, it is the place that has the biggest number of rare and endangered species, meaning it is a shelter, a safe place, a vault for the jewels of nature. In spite all of that, Sumatra is still strong, imposing and beautiful. That’s why this name was chosen for an environmental consulting company. Soon after we studied the options to compose the logo symbol, we found out about a tribe that lives in Sumatra, the Srivijaya, that had as a symbol the Surya Majapahit, a sun that is like a compass to them. We mixed that symbol with the a idea of a gear from environmental engineering and planet earth. We used only 2 Pantones: the green one that reminds of environmental engineering/sustainability and the yellow because it is the color that is faster activated by the cerebral cortex.
Sumatra é a maior ilha da indonésia, a mais bela e com a maior biodiversidade em termos locais. Em termos globais é o local que abriga o maior número de espécies raras e ameaçadas de extinção, ou seja, é abrigo, um local seguro, um cofre para as jóias da floresta. Apesar de tudo isso, Sumatra se mantém imponente, forte e exuberante. Por isso a escolha deste nome para compor a empresa de consultoria ambiental.
Logo após estudamos as variáveis para compor o símbolo da marca, com isso descobrimos uma tribo que vivia em sumatra: Os Srivijaya que tinham como símbolo o Surya Majapahit, que tem como ideia um sol, uma bússola para eles. Sintetizamos a símbolo junto com a ideia de engrenagens da engenharia ambiental e o planeta terra. Utilizamos somente 2 tons de pantone: Um verde para lembrar a engenharia ambiental/sustentabilidade, e o amarelo por ser a cor que é ativada mais rapidamente no córtex cerebral.
