The European Cultural Academy is offering a full scholarship for the 4th edition of the “Sustainable Healthy Cities: Building for the Future” course. This scholarship will cover the full tuition fee, providing a unique opportunity to explore sustainable urbanism in Venice.

This intensive two-week course, organized in collaboration with Kellogg College, University of Oxford, and The King’s Foundation, equips participants with innovative ideas and practical tools to design healthier and more sustainable cities. Using Venice as a case study, students will rethink urban spaces in response to environmental, social, and economic challenges.

The program is ideal for students, aspiring architects, urban professionals, and designers looking to enhance their skills and expand their portfolios. One full scholarship is available, and outstanding runners-up may receive partial scholarships.

About the Course

The “Sustainable Healthy Cities: Building for the Future” program is designed in partnership with the Global Centre on Healthcare and Urbanisation (GCHU) at the University of Oxford, the European Cultural Academy, and The King’s Foundation.

Submission Details

  • Who Can Apply?
    • Students, researchers, architects, urban studies professionals, artists, and creatives.
  • Project Requirements:
    • Submit a previous project or a new proposal incorporating sustainability.
    • Project format: Open – Stand-alone text (max 2,000 words) or portfolio uploads.
  • Additional Documents:
    • CV (PDF format).
    • Portfolio (optional but encouraged).
    • Statement of interest in sustainability (max 1 A4 page).
